CBD oil products – what concentration will do the trick?

December 23, 2019 Bionativa

When choosing products with CBD oil, the question always arises as to which concentration to choose. Is 4% enough? How much should you supplement to feel the difference? How do the products differ from each other? Fortunately, you no longer have to choose blindly. We advise you on which CBD concentration to choose.

Does CBD oil concentration matter?

Contrary to appearances, the concentration of CBD oil in the product is not the most important. There is no difference in the effect of 4% oil and 20% oil. The effectiveness is the same, but the dose is lower. CBD, like other substances, should be dosed in milligrams daily, not in percentage.

However, this does not mean that the concentration selection should be random.

What concentration of CBD oil should you choose?

Although CBD concentration is not associated with higher product efficacy, it is associated with greater convenience in the application. It is much faster and easier to consume one drop of oil than five. In addition, really highly concentrated extracts (30% up) can be more effective because they are of the highest purity.

If you’re only beginning the adventure with CBD supplementation, start at 20 milligrams a day. It’s a safe dose that you can increase if needed. However, if you do not feel well at 20 milligrams, you can reduce this dose. For beginners, the most convenient application will be CBD oil 2.5% – the smallest content of cannabidiol in one drop. You can also find such oil on Bionativa.

It is worth emphasising that each organism reacts differently to CBD. You may find that a dose of 20 milligrams is not enough for you. But remember to give your body the time to absorb CBD. Don’t change the dosage after only three days, because you don’t notice any difference. We recommend supplementing with a given concentration for 2-3 weeks unless you feel a lot worse. Then it is a signal that says that the dose should be reduced.

Can you overdose on CBD?

You cannot overdose Cannabidiol, that is a fact. However, with too much of a substance, side effects can occur. These include stomach ache, diarrhoea, and fatigue. If you notice any of these symptoms, reduce the dose and observe your body’s responses. Also, remember to never take large doses without trying smaller ones first. Concentration should be increased by small steps, never differently.

Do I need to consult a doctor?

CBD oil is a supplement, so you don’t necessarily have to consult a doctor to take it. There is an exception, however. If you take any other medicines daily, please consult your doctor before supplementation. CBD can affect the effects of some medications, e.g. limiting their effectiveness, and this can lead to dangerous situations. However, if you’re healthy, a visit to the doctor is not required.
