9 facts you should know about CBD Oil
CBD oil* causes a lot of commotion. There are just as many people supporting the use of it as there are of those who oppose it. If you are interested in this topic, be sure to read more. Here are 9 facts about hemp oil that you should know!
1. It does not cause intoxication
Many people still think that CBD or Cannabidiol works like marijuana. However, this is not true. The content of THC substance, which is responsible for the “high” feeling, is negligible. Therefore, taking CBD oil does not cause any intoxication at all.
2. It’s legal
The law on CBD oil varies from country to country. In most countries legal regulations are explicit – in the European Union, for example, it is a totally licit product if the THC content does not exceed 0.2%. There are some countries where no restrictions whatsoever have been imposed regarding CBD oil (including Canada, most of the United States, Spain, Georgia).
3. CBD oil is an extract
CBD is actually an extract of cannabis plants that have been concentrated in the oil form. It is produced with a solvent (e.g. olive oil, butane) being passed through the plant. After evaporating, all that remains is enriched oil, that is most valuable.
4. Cannabidiol is used in epilepsy treatment
Epilepsy is an incurable disease. Currently, there is no known cure for it, and CBD oils are not an exception. It is worth noting, however, that there is one drug available on the market recommended in this disease, the component of which is cannabidiol – Epidiolex.
5. Has a positive effect on our well-being
Although CBD oil does not contain THC, it positively affects our well-being. For this reason, it is recommended for people with mental disorders such as anxiety or depression, it should be emphasised, however, that CBD oil does not cure any of these diseases and is not a medical product.
6. No side effects
It is known that taking THC is associated with side effects. These include memory disorders and paranoia. CBD oil does not cause any side effects.
7. It is not used for entertainment
There is a myth, that CBD oil is used for entertainment purposes. It’s not true. Due to the lack of intoxicating substances in CBD oil, it cannot be used as an intoxicant.
8. CBD oil is NOT medical marijuana
In some countries, medical marijuana is illegal. Therefore, CBD oils available in those countries are produced from another plant species. As a result, these are different products and it is worth keeping this in mind, especially when purchasing from an unknown source.
9. A prescription is unnecessary
CBD oil is neither a drug nor medical marijuana, so you do not need a prescription to buy it. You can buy it legally in any quantity desired. Remember, however, to always choose proper stores, because there are plenty of crooks on the market that offer products of dubious quality.
*Remember, CBD oil is not a medical product. We do not sell medicinal products or support the classification of cannabidiol-based products as medical devices. In our store, you will find many CBD products, but they do not have medical properties.
